Description

The Whitefin Ornatus is a harder to source selectively bred tetra which is distinguished for its white fin form, known as both Hyphessobrycon Bentosi and Hyphessobrycon ornatus. It is closely related to the Rosy Tetra and belongs to the same species, popular for its use in famous aquaecapes by Takashi Amano in Japan.

Whitefin Ornatus Tetras are a good companion to our Stendker discus in larger aquariums, preferably as a group of 10 or more.

Fish Size Guide:

The ‘Maximum Size’ outlined below is the length this fish can reach as a full grown adult. For the actual size please use the select menu above.

Discus.ae prefers younger stock for their better ability to adapt to new water parameters and higher tolerance against transport. On rare occasions you may receive larger specimens when small fish are unavailable, however the smallest should be expected unless the size is noted as “Large” or “Adult”.
